Typically, a balanced profile that aims at an absolute performance will have as a reference benchmark a bond index with a term of 3 to 5 years. But the client has the choice of defining himself the reference index that will determine the investment policy applied by the asset manager. By reducing the fixed costs of account maintenance, this relative approach makes it possible to only remunerate the manager to the extent that he works effectively and profitably in line with the wishes and directives of the client.
